BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo has previously shown fans the “essential items” she always carries around in her bag.
The three items Jisoo selected all highlighted just how practical and prepared the idol is as she makes sure to have a wallet…
Lip balm…
And a mirror.
Now that Jisoo has started her own YouTube channel, Happy Jisoo 103%, she’s been giving fans a look into the behind-the-scenes of BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK world tour.
In Jisoo’s most recent “COLOGNE vlog,” the idol showed off all the items she brings around in her bag during her off-time on a world tour.
Although she doesn’t carry it around outside of hotels, Jisoo first showed off a Hello Kitty plushie that she “can’t sleep without.”
Then Jisoo showed off her bag, which is pretty small, only large enough to carry around essential items she might need, which includes her well-used pill box. The idol “always [carries] around household medicine” in case of an emergency.
Jisoo also carries around custom-made hair ties because since she’s using hair extensions, her hair is “so long and oftentimes it’s really hard to manage.”
And for when Jisoo wants to put her hair up in a ponytail, she has a Hello Kitty-themed scrunchie.
Jisoo also carries around an adorable rabbit keychain Rosé got her during their world tour. Not only is the keychain cute, but a rabbit is one of the representative animals Jisoo associates herself with.
And for her final item, as mentioned in her “essential items” video, Jisoo also carries around two lipsticks with her to apply when necessary.
Jisoo admitted she often carries more items with her, but because of the size of her travel bag, she sticks to only the essentials.
Within three years of their debut, TXT has managed to earn a reputation as a group that is equally well at live singing and dancing. Their choreographies are known to be intricate and powerful, and all the members execute them seamlessly as a unit. But according to the maknae of the group, dancing was never on his agenda when he joined BIGHIT MUSIC!
During a recent live broadcast, a fan asked Hueningkai about his experience as a trainee. The idol shared that it was nothing like what he had in mind. Hueningkai initially joined BIGHIT thinking he would be debuting as a singer-songwriter. He didn’t really intend to become an idol per se.
I came in with the intention of being a singer-songwriter, just singing and playing my guitar and debuting as a singer.
—Hueningkai, Weverse Live
But when he started training at the label, his mentors told him to start learning a little bit of dancing. He agreed to the proposal, and before he knew it, he was spending three hours every day at dance practices.
So at first when they told me, ‘Let’s just slowly learn a bit of dancing,’ I thought, ‘Oh really? Okay, I’ll just try my best!’ But then as soon as I entered, we were working hard like this for three hours.
—Hueningkai, Weverse Live
The story immediately rang a bell among people familiar with TXT and BTS. The way Hueningkai seems to have been lured into idol training feels awfully similar to Suga‘s trainee experience.
The rapper has often shared the story of how he joined BIGHIT under the assumption that he would be part of a pure hip-hop group. As an underground rapper, he had no interest in learning how to dance, and Bang Shi Hyuk, the then-CEO of BIGHIT, assured him that he wouldn’t need to dance a lot as a trainee. However, after joining the company, he spent long hours at dance practices, and ultimately, he debuted as a member of BTS, who were noted for their strong dancing and rapping skills as rookies.
Though both Hueningkai and Suga were “tricked” into dancing by BIGHIT, both the idols now remember the stories with humor and fondness. And fans recognized the hilarity of the situation too.
BTS member Jimin recently made quite the noise after attending the Paris Men’s Fashion Week as the new global ambassador of Dior. From the crowd he drew while attending the Dior show to the crazy media attention he generated, every response to the idol’s first steps into the fashion world indicated that his influence was already unmatched. But a recent report has quantified and put into perspective just how huge his impact really is.
In a joint report presented by Lefty and Karla Otto, Jimin was named the biggest influencer at the Paris Men’s Fashion Week AW23. One of the primary focuses of the report was to analyze how much EMV each influencer generated for the brands they represented during the fashion week.
EMV, an abbreviation for Earned Media Value, is a metric used in influencer marketing to measure how much monetary value a brand’s social media marketing is bringing to the table. To put it simply, the EMV of an influencer would imply how much money they made for the brand they represent through their social media activities.
During this fashion week, Dior had the highest EMV with $31.5 Million USD, and more than half of that amount was solely generated by Jimin! He was named the top influencer in the report, having garnered a total EMV of $17.1 Million USD.
The city’s biggest influencer was BTS’s Jimin, who recently became Dior’s newest brand ambassador.
—Lefty
Here are a few metrics that might help one picture how big of a deal those numbers are— Jimin’s EMV alone was more than the total EMV of the rest of the brands in the top 10. Without Jimin, Dior’s EMV would have dropped to $14.4 Million USD, which would put them second in the list of the top 10 brands during the fashion week, right after Saint Laurent ($15.7 Million USD EMV).
Dior saw a 370% increase in its EMV during the fashion week, to which Jimin’s brand value had a significant contribution. The craziest part is that the singer generated that amount with just two Instagram posts.
BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo recently uploaded a new vlog to her new YouTube channel, Happy Jisoo 103%. The most recent video in her series of vlogs surrounding BLACKPINK’s BORN PINK world tour in Europe, Jisoo’s “COLOGNE vlog,” showed more of the group’s off-time between concerts.
Jisoo spent most of her vlog exploring a Christmas market with Lisa, where the two idols excitedly looked around at the market.
And tried various foods and drinks that Jisoo playfully told viewers she wished they could smell.
But one small detail in Jisoo’s vlog went viral as sharp-eyed viewers spotted a glimpse of Lisa’s wallet.
Although the card is barely visible as it’s in Lisa’s wallet, fans feel confident identifying one of the idol’s cards as Hyundai‘s “The Black Card.”
This incredibly exclusive card is approved for the top 0.05% of Korean VVIPs, costing 2,000,000 KRW (around $1,700+ USD) per year in membership.
And to make the card even more exclusive, it is offered on an invitation-only basis, which means Hyundai had to reach out to Lisa to ask her to be one of the exclusive card holders.
Fans weren’t surprised that Lisa has “The Black Card” since the idol has also been seen with other exclusive cards before.
P1Harmony are currently on their 2nd U.S. tour, 2023 P1Harmony LIVE TOUR [P1ustage H : P1ONEER].
P1eces (P1Harmony fans) have been concerned about the members, though, due to sasaengs.
In South Korean culture, a sasaeng, or sasaeng fan (Korean: 사생팬; Hanja: 私生팬; ), is an obsessive fan who stalks or engages in other behavior constituting an invasion of the privacy of Korean idols, drama actors or other public figures. The term sasaeng comes from the Korean words sa-jeog (Korean: 사적; Hanja: 私) meaning ‘private’ and saeng (Korean: 생; Hanja: 生) meaning ‘life’, in reference to the fans’ intrusion into celebrities’ private lives.
— Wikipedia
Since P1Harmony arrived in the U.S., P1eces have expressed concern as they noticed a girl walking closely to the members at the airport, although she was not staff.
According to P1eces, she is either a sasaeng of Intak or Jiung.
There are multiple sasaengs currently traveling, following the members on their U.S. tour. The first in question has been identified as Mogu (@1ovetak/TmeoV). She is a sasaeng of Intak.
They are also close friends with Jiung’s sasaeng Podo (P1H_podocookie).
Podo follows P1Harmony’s private schedules, talks about being on flights with them, etc.
A friend group of sasaengs, including the two, have been apparently attending every stop of P1Harmony’s U.S. tour.
A P1ece, ALO (@suga_333 on TikTok), who attended one of the first concerts, the Oakland show, recounted her experience with the sasaengs, especially Mogu. She revealed that Mogu’s seat was actually next to hers.
ALO overheard Mogu ask security if she could move toward the front to be closer to the members, although her seat was not there. The security gave her permission.
This girl was annoying as f*ck during the whole concert like she was a walking red flag. I don’t know how I didn’t notice that she was a sasaengbeforehand. Before the concert, she asked security if she can move towards the front when the members would get closer and when the photographers would leave the pit. The security guard said, ‘Oh yeah, you can move towards the front,’ which is what she did here.
— ALO (@suga_333/TikTok)
Mogu also encouraged others to follow her toward the front, but P1eces did not.
And she was like waving people to move with her. Nobody did.
Even after that, Mogu continued to move around. She wouldn’t stay at her seat.
Not only that, but during the concert, she was like moving around the whole *ss venue like I think it was during the second time the members stopped to talk… I look behind me, and she was right there. I was like, ‘Girl, choose a seat. You’re either gonna be behind me, next to me, or in front of me.’
— ALO (@suga_333/TikTok)
ALO revealed that Mogu somehow had a never-before-seen picture of the setlist from the stage on her phone. So, she couldn’t help but wonder how she got it.
I was just sitting in my seat, looking around, and I’m nosy as f*ck. So, when I look over at her, I see on her phone, she has a picture of the setlist that was posted on the stage. The only way you can get that picture is if you were on the stage. I didn’t see that photo anywhere on Twitter. So, in my head, I’m like, ‘Where the f*ck did she get that picture from?’
— ALO (@suga_333/TikTok)
ALO was also concerned with how much Mogu was cursing, particularly at Intak. She could hear the sasaeng curse almost non-stop in her concert videos.
Another thing that was annoying me is that she was like cursing the whole time. Like I don’t mind if you like curse every now and then, but she was like cursing the f*ck out of Intak. Like in my videos, you can hear her in the background like cursing him the f*ck out.
As all P1eces have reported, Mogu has been very aggressive and rude, even pushing others. ALO agreed, saying that she was even elbowed in the ribs.
Also, I saw that people were saying that she was pushing and being rude. Yeah, she was! Like the first three songs that she was next to me, her elbow was all up in my ribs.
— ALO (@suga_333/TikTok)
ALO was shocked to see that Mogu’s friends, including Podo, had been permitted to bring in not only pickets but also professional cameras and lenses. Again, she wondered how this was allowed.
And then her two sasaengbesties, I have some pictures I’d like to share of them. …Security didn’t let me bring in my picket that I made for Intak, but they let these girls come into the venue with their giant *ss cameras and their picket. Like how the f*ck do you get through security?
— ALO (@suga_333/TikTok)
Other P1eces have also caught the sasaengs in their videos and pictures from the tour too. They have made negative concert experiences for both genuine fans and staff.
